Election Day Workers
Jefferson County is looking for registered voters in the Democratic and Republican party to serve as paid inspectors on election days.
We will pay you $45 to be trained, $15 per hour during early voting and $245 if you work any election day (primary or general). There is additional compensation for picking up poll site materials, being a chairperson or returning poll materials at the end of the night.
Contact: Deb Matthews (Democratic), (315) 785-5189 or dmatthews@co.jefferson.ny.us or Tiffany Ladd (Republican), (315) 786-7462 or tladd@co.jefferson.ny.us
Poll workers prepare the polling place for voting, set up equipment, process voters, demonstrate voting procedures, assist in filling out ballots when requested by a disabled voter, close the polling place and canvass and report the results.
We have 8 hour and 16 hour shifts on election day.
We are committed to fulfilling our responsibility to the citizens of New York State by providing fair and accurate elections. This responsibility and the credit associated with it must be shared with the many dedicated workers that help make elections successful. You can get involved and become a proud participant in a process that is the foundation of democracy in our county.
