Keep the North Country Smiling

The Keep the North Country Smiling (KNCS) coalition, comprised of local health departments, dental providers, pediatric primary care providers, and health and human service agencies across Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence Counties, is working regionally to address significant adverse health indices related to poor oral health throughout the region.

Keep the North Country Smiling 2025-2030 goals include:

  • Integrate oral health into systems, policies, and programs which improve overall health

  • Prevent oral diseases and address risk factors through evidence-based interventions

  • Increase capacity, diversity, and flexibility of the workforce to meet the needs of Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence County populations

  • Coordinate outreach programs; implement education, and health literacy campaigns to promote wellness and access to oral health care and cleaning resources for proper oral health for all children.
